Hội An (會安) translates as "peaceful meeting place" - and that's what we have created for you here at La Plage on the idyllic beach that is 'An Bang'.
About An Bang Beach......
Only 4 kilometres from Hoi An’s centre and 20 kilometres from Da Nang, An Bang Beach is the perfect complement to the sightseeing and tourist bustle of town where you can get plenty of An Bang R&R.
Whilst the beach is open all year round, the best time to be at An Bang is during the dry season from March to September. During this time you can expect blistering sun, soaring temperatures and calm waters. Purchase some food from our established restaurant with local and international dishes and you can use our sun loungers for the day free of charge. We also have a large restaurant / bar area with plenty of seating and cover should you wish to dine at the table.
The cold (well not that cold) and wet season lasts from around October to February. But here at La Plage we always open and ensure the weather does not put a dampener on things – the ocean is rough and temperatures can be a bit chilly, though there are surprises with some sunny days. La Plage remains open all year round and the beach is still an incredible place to sit and watch the storms come in over the mountains at the edge of Da Nang and across the ocean. Often there are large waves that enable the surfers to get their fix and spectators can relax and watch from the bar.
Please do remember that topless bathing and nudity are insulting to the locals; if you are caught flaunting too much flesh you can face a fine. Bikinis and shorts are perfectly acceptable beachwear. Keep the swimwear to the beach and remember to cover up when you leave.
